Meet the person behind the journey...
I'm Lou, and the last few years have been... rough.
But now, I've emerged at the other side of a very dark tunnel and, after a lot of self-discovery and hard, hard work, I've peeled away several layers of trauma to find my true self beneath. I'm here to share my journey with you.

In 2018, I miscarried our first baby two days before our 12-week scan and suffered a massive haemorrhage. A year later, the birth of our beautiful daughter took a frightening turn, leaving me with lasting injuries and an eventual diagnosis of PTSD. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I suffered a mental breakdown and was under the care of the crisis team for many months. Then, just when things were looking up, I contracted meningitis in February 2022 and was admitted to the hospital on Valentine's Day, and still battle daily physical and neurological issues stemming from the infection. One week after I was discharged, the Universe delivered its final test of my resilience: our family dog died in my arms of a fast-moving cancer at only 7 years old.

I've spent the last few years in different types of therapy, practicing mindfulness and meditation techniques, and developing my knowledge and experience of alternate healing practices whilst overhauling my daily life.

And today, I am here, and I am the best version of myself I have ever been.

Healing is not a destination, it is a journey - one that is never linear. And I am here to share it with you, in the hope that my words somehow help anyone else out there who may be battling their own demons, and struggling to see the light at the end of their own tunnel.
